Email editor

- Better branding capabilities and a new token for your company logo and a default email signature that will be applied any time you compose an email from Buildium.
The new email editor will be available to all customers in the coming weeks.
Performance improvements
Like all things, code can get old. Over the last year, we’ve had an ongoing project dedicated to moving a number of features and pages into a more up-to-date code base, which not only makes things easier now, they’ll improve performance and make further improvements even more possible in the future.
What does that mean?
In short, we’re still working hard (just from home) to make things faster and easier for you to use.
You may notice some small changes in layout as part of this project on the following pages in the following months:
- Record check
- Record deposit
- Calculate management fees
- Record owner contribution
- Pay bills by check & EFT
Default renewal offer terms
If you have a standard renewal offer you send to tenants across your portfolio, we’re making renewals easier than ever with the ability to create default lease renewal offer terms. Whether you use a flat rate, percentage increase or market rent - you’ll no longer need to manually enter offers for each lease.
Fix to the calculation of late fees
We’ve released an update that will now exclude future rent charges when calculating late fees. Previously if a lease had a future rent charge scheduled, the system would include those charges when calculating a late fee which is incorrect. With this fix, we ensure that late fees are calculated correctly, only based on past rent charges.
Resident center and text message adoption stats
Keep an eye out for some useful stats that will now be available on the tenants grid and association owners grid showing you how many tenants or association owners have activated their Resident Center account and how many have opted into text messaging. You'll find this information in a banner at the top of each page. These data points give you an easy way to assess whether or not you might want to invite more residents to use the Resident Center or invite them to opt into texting for easy communication.
Back dated recurring expenses
We’ve released an update to recurring expenses that will ensure all backdated recurring checks and bills will post immediately to the bills grid or bank ledger. Previously when posting a backdated recurring check or bill, there was a delay overnight until these were posted each day during our system's overnight batch process. This will help you be more efficient and accurate as it will allow you to start working with these transactions right away instead of delaying until the next day when the system has finally posted them.
Violations enhancements for Manager and Resident Mobile apps
Manager app violations update
In an effort to provide you with the most crucial features and functions around violations, we are happy to announce some enhancements made to the Manager Mobile app. With this release we have made it easier for you to log, sort and share violations faster with your residents.
Resident center mobile app violations update:
With this update to the Resident Mobile app we added the ability for association owners to not only see their violations, but also self report them as resolved via the Resident Center app.
