How do I delete a rental property?

Properties can only be deleted from Buildium if there are no financial transactions attached to them.

If a lease has been created with received payments, or if any checks or deposits have been recorded and attached to the property, you need to delete the individual financial transactions before you can delete the property.

If a property has financial transactions that you do not want to remove, you'll need to inactivate the property instead.

To delete a property with no financial transactions attached to it:

1. Navigate to Rentals > Properties, then click on the property name.
   
2. Click Inactivate property.
   
3. If there are no financials attached to the property, a pop up window will appear.
   
4. In the pop-up window, click Delete.
