A management agreement is a formal contract between a property manager and a rental owner that describes services to be performed and associated fees.
By tracking these agreements in Buildium, you'll know when agreements are expiring so you can determine if you'd like to renew them or enter into new negotiations.
You'll have the option to add management agreement dates any time you add a new rental owner into Buildium.

1. Set up an existing property owner with agreement dates:
- Navigate to Rentals > Rental owners.
- Click on the rental owner you want to add agreement information for.
- On the rental owner summary page, click Edit management agreement.
- Enter the agreement dates, then click Save.
2. View agreements expiring soon
To quickly view agreements expiring soon:
- Navigate to Rentals > Rental owners.
- On the list of owners, agreement expiration dates are color coded by expiration date.
- Yellow means the agreement expires 30-90 days from the current date.
- Orange means the agreement expires in 30 days or less.
- Red means the agreement is expired.
3. Set up renewal reminder email notifications for expiring agreements
To receive renewal reminder email notifications:
- Navigate to Settings > My settings.
- Scroll down to the Email notifications section.
- Check the box next to Monthly reminder for management agreement renewals to turn on notifications.
- When you've updated your notifications, click Save Changes
