Common Area Maintenance charges are shared charges that are paid for by the tenants at the property. Common examples include trash pickup, snow removal fees, landscaping, and water/sewer. CAM charges are often seen as part of a commercial lease, though a residential lease may have a similar arrangement.
If the CAM charge is a set amount on a recurring basis, add a recurring charge to the lease. see "Tenant recurring charges"
If the CAM charge is a variable amount, use our bulk charges feature to easily add the charge.see "Add a"bulk" charge" If the amount varies from unit to unit, set up a common expense allocation first. see "Common expense allocations"
