Batch processing for recurring transactions

Recurring transactions are processed once a day at night, and not as and when you add them. So, if you add a recurring transaction at 10 a.m. today, it will not be processed until the next morning.

The nightly batch process takes all transactions that need to be processed, including recurring expenses and charges with a past transaction date, and processes them together. So, if you had set up a recurring transaction effective yesterday, it will still be processed only tonight, during the nightly batch process.

If you set up a recurring transaction so that it should have occurred twice already, Buildium processes one per day, so that the processing takes two nights to complete. For example, if the recurring bill for maintenance was to have started two months ago, Buildium will process the expense of one month per batch.

Remember to enter recurring transactions accurately and in a timely manner, to avoid confusion.
