How do I delete an association?

Associations can only be deleted from Buildium if there are no financial transactions attached to them.

If an ownership account has been created with received payments, or if any checks or deposits have been recorded and attached to the association, you need to delete the individual financial transactions before you can delete the association.

If an association has financial transactions that you do not want to remove, you'll need to inactivate it instead.

To delete an association with no financial transactions:

1. Navigate to Associations > Associations, then click on the property name.
   
   
2. Click Inactivate association.
   
   
3. If there are no financials attached to the property, a pop up window will appear.
   
   
4. In the pop-up window, click Delete.
