In most cases, when you need to inactivate a rental owner, you’ll also be inactivating the property at the same time. You can inactivate solely the rental owner if you need to.
Buildium will pull information for inactive rental owners when you use our 1099 e-filing feature, so inactivating a rental owner is a great way to clean up your list of active owners but still keep 1099 data on hand.
To inactivate a rental owner:
- Navigate to Rentals > Rental Owners.
- Click the name of the rental owner you want to inactivate.
- Then, click Inactivate owner.
