Some of Buildium’s features are designed for association management, other features are designed for residential property management. By accurately selecting the type of management you’re doing, you’ll be able to hide some of the features that aren’t relevant to you.
For example, let's say you manage only rentals. Use the property type settings to hide the Associations menu and minimize the risk that it might get used at some point.
You can also adjust User roles to allow you to toggle this setting for some people who access your account.
To tell Buildium what type of units you manage:
- Navigate to Settings > Application Settings
- Click Property types.
- Check the box for either or both options, and Buildium will adjust accordingly.
- Click Save.
