The Budget vs actuals report shows actual income and expenses for period of time as compared to the budgeted amounts.
Other report formats are available and can be generated in the software.
When to use it
- Compare your created budget in Buildium to actual financial data in Buildium.
Interpreting the report
- The left side of the report shows data for the selected period.
- The right side of the report always shows data for the entire budget year.
It is uncommon to see negative amounts on a budget unless your budget contains contra-revenue accounts, such as vacancy loss or rent concessions.
In these cases, be wary of the overage calculations; if you've budgeted for ($1000) in vacancy loss, an actual value of ($1100) is over budget.
